I was chosen to receive the Influenster Violet VoxBox several weeks ago and I was anxiously awaiting its arrival. Now it’s finally here and ready to be revealed! Before we get into the goodies… here’s the deal on Influenster: It’s a completely free program for anyone to join (you don’t have to be a blogger- I received three other VoxBoxes before I ever started blogging…). You are sent VoxBoxes based on your answers to surveys, so as long as you sign up and stay active on their website, there’s a very good chance you’ll be sent a VoxBox at some point.
The VioletVoxBox was “inspired by this season’s dark, moody florals” and sent to the “beauty queens of Influenster Nation”. I am quite amused that I’m considered a “beauty queen”… it also makes me think of Honey Boo Boo, so there’s that. Montagne Jeunesse Clay Spas Face Mask in “Dead Sea Mud Spa” ($2.49): I will definitely use this mud infused fabric facial the next time my skin starts acting up! It promises to revitalize your skin with dead sea minerals, seaweed, and kelp. I love that it comes in fabric form so it’s easy to apply and won’t be super messy!
Sally Hansen New Triple Shine Nail Color in “Pixie Slicks” ($4.99): This nail polish truly lives up to the “triple shine” name! I wasn’t crazy about the bubble gum pink color for this time of year… it’s not very “holiday”, but I jazzed it up with some gold glitter and I quite liked the results! I found it lasted very long without chipping, too. I would love to try this in colors that are more “me”.
SOYJOY in “Cranberry” ($0.99): I didn’t know what to expect from a bar with soy in the name, but I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor! I’ve been craving cranberry things since it’s the holidays, and this really hit the spot with a cup of hot Christmas tea. It was such a perfect afternoon treat. Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Refreshing Dry Shampoo ($5.99): I have a serious “thing” for dry shampoos and I’m always willing to try a new one. This comes in a powerful aerosol can that you can easily spray at your roots. It goes on a little bit damp, so you need to wait a few minutes until it fully dries and then you can work it through your hair. The scent is fresh and clean- not amazing, but not bad either. I found this really lasted for several hours before I noticed any oils, and it gave a nice amount of volume, too!
Goody Athletique Headbands ($6.00): This is a snazzy little “ouchless” adjustable yoga headwrap that is made from quick dry material. It wicks away moisture while you’re working out and keeps flyaways out of your face. Let’s be honest… I don’t really workout all that often… but I like the idea of wearing this when you want your hair out of your face (hello, wintery wind!) or if you’re having a not-so-great hair day. The charcoal gray color will match just about every outfit, too.
